We all came to this world undocumented

We All Were Refugees is a photo and audiovisual project developed during April and May 2017 in the refugee camps in the city of Thessaloniki (Greece). Living together with people coming mostly from Syria and Kurdistan, I attempted to experience and document first-hand the current refugee crisis in Europe. Nevertheless, the project ultimately goes beyond explaining the facts and events of a community. At its core, it tells personal and family stories, with the intention of portraying refugees not as a multitude that flees from tragedy and is unwanted in Europe, but as individuals who have their lives, their personalities, their hobbies, their weaknesses and their emotions. Europe, open your fucking borders!
